All veneers come in both flats and corners
to wrap around outside corner walls, door
entrances, and windows. Flats are measured
in square feet, while corners are measured
in lineal feet.

To measure the quantity of stone needed:

1. Measure the total square feet by multiplying height times width of each surface to be covered, then subtract the area of all openings, such as doors and windows.
2. Measure the total lineal feet of outside corners, including any doorways or windows that will have corners.
3. Finally, for an accurate estimate of flat stones needed (square footage), multiply the lineal footage of corners needed by 1/2, (One lineal foot of stone equals approximately 1/2 foot of flat stone) and subtracting this corner square footage from the total product square footage. This will give you the square footage of flat stone required. Note, for best fitting and appearance, it is desirable to have some extra quantity of flats to select from.
