At TC Stoneworks, we take the time to explain the many options available

therefore have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions. |

1. What does the term "veneer" mean? Does that mean it is not real stone?
|
- The word "veneer" applies to both natural and manufactured stone. Basically, it refers to the
thin cut of the stone. Natural stone are offered in full "brick thick" versions, as well as thin cut

2. Is there a benefit to using natural or manufactured stone?
|
- Manufactured Stones are a fraction of the cost compared to Natural Stones. It is lighter in weight,
and therefore can be used in more scenarios than a Natural Stone can. A prime example would be
an interior non-weight bearing wall. In contrast, Natural Stones require wall ties or footing to support
their weight, whereas manufactured stones do not. Ultimately, each customer must decide for
themselves which type is the right stone for them, and each person will likely have a different opinion
of which is the best looking stone for their dollar.
